I have my nano region to talk to obviously, but it's nice I have someone else I can talk to, and maybe whine...

Are you doing fanfiction or original? I did original my first 2 years and fanfiction my next 2 years. This year I've chosen original.

My nano region seems to be dead. As well as my fingers, because I've had three typos of the dramatic nature so far. XD
And you may talk and whine away all you want. That is when you are not wracking your brains for nano.

I've never really tried to write fanfiction, only because I don't think I can grasp the personality of a character I didn't create so well.
I'm doing original this year.
Are you prepped for it?

Not quite. I have the main idea with the central conflicts and I know how I want it to end, but I haven't planned the chapters yet (planner, not pantser). How about you?

Well... Not really. Oops. I've got the characters pretty much hashed out. I have the main issue all set. But everything else is all sorts of vague, which I probably should fix very very very soon.

You could try to pants it and go in with very little planning. Tried it one year. Made the writing a bit more exciting, but that strategy wasn't for me.

I shall try, probably get a little way in and then fail. If all else fails, I will do a plan in the middle and keep going from there.

I'm doing okay, better than the last time I attempted this. Not quite on target, but better than I thought I would be.
